Registered Clinical Counsellor

Clarissa Matsuda

My personal exposure to the grieving process began in 2007 with the death of our twin son. As a mother of four sons, I understand the weight of handling the demands of life alongside grieving unimaginable loss.

You may be going through the motions, even appearing to be doing ‘okay enough’, but the cost of doing business as usual is showing up in your close relationships and inner struggle.

I learned it is very possible to feel hope again.

To ease my own experience with grief and loss, a combination of energy work and healing practices pulled me towards making sense of the meaning behind suffering and dying, handling loss, and living confidently with hope again (not easy!).

Through energy work, the oscillating balance between evolving and restoration became apparent for me. The practice of oscillating is going back and forth between being with the intensity of your emotional pain, while moving forward alongside it.

With time, I learned that you can evolve to be another version of yourself that makes more sense in your present life.

A snapshot of my experience

  • I have been doing energy work since 1996, and have completed all levels of Usui Reiki, Therapeutic Touch and trainings from Qigong Healing.

Your mind will always believe everything you tell it.

Feed it hope.
Feed it truth.
Feed it with love.
